Short answer: a made-to-measure leather race suit from Racevoro costs $799 for a one-piece or $829 for a two-piece, with free tracked shipping to the United States. Full custom design suits, starting from $799
Custom race suits are often assumed to be out of reach, so it helps to be specific about what you're paying for. Here is exactly how pricing works on the Racevoro Apex custom leather racing suit:
- 1-Piece suit: $799
- 2-Piece suit: $829 (+$30)
Both styles are made to measure from your own body measurements in centimetres. There's no separate charge for custom sizing.
What's included in the price
- Made-to-measure sizing from your measurements
- Custom colours
- Your rider name, race number and logos
- Standard aero hump
- Front or full perforation, your choice
- Removable breathable polyester mesh lining
- Removable dual-density shoulder, elbow, knee and back protectors
- Removable knee sliders
- Free tracked shipping to the US
The suit is made from 1.2–1.3 mm top-grain cowhide leather, with aramid stretch fabric in selected sleeve, cuff and crotch areas, expansion panels at the knees and lower legs, pre-curved sleeves, double and triple stitching in critical areas, and YKK zippers. See the full specification on the Apex suit page.

For example, a two-piece suit with the hydro hump upgrade and one extra pair of knee sliders comes to $883.98.
What affects the price of a custom race suit in general?
Whoever you buy from, these are the things that usually move the price of a custom suit:
- How "custom" it really is. A suit cut from a pattern built around your measurements involves more work than a stock size with custom colours. Ask whether the pattern is made from your measurements or adjusted from a standard size.
- Leather type and thickness. Different hides and thicknesses cost different amounts. Ask for the exact leather and thickness in writing.
- Protection. What armour is included, whether it's removable and what standard it's tested to all matter. If certification matters to you, ask for the exact armour specification for your build. Our CE Level 2 armour explainer covers what to ask.
- Design complexity. Some makers charge extra for names, numbers, logos or multiple colours. At Racevoro these are included.
- Shipping, duties and taxes. Check whether shipping is included and how import duties or taxes are handled. Racevoro ships free and tracked to the US. Before your order ships, we tell you in writing whether any import duties or taxes are payable on delivery (see our Shipping page).
- Remake policy. A low price is no bargain if a suit that doesn't match your measurements can't be fixed. Check what happens if something is wrong.
What does a full custom kit cost?
Many riders order a matching kit. At current prices:
- Apex suit: $799 (1-Piece) or $829 (2-Piece)
- Apex custom leather gloves: $189
- Apex custom leather boots: $299
A one-piece suit, gloves and boots together come to $1,287 before any upgrades. If you also want a road jacket, the Corsa custom leather jacket is $499.
Is a custom suit worth it compared with off the rack?
If you fit a standard size well in a riding position, off the rack can be good value. Custom is worth considering if stock suits pull across your back, ride up at the wrists or bunch behind your knees when you tuck, or if you want your own colours, name and number. Our Custom Leather Race Suit Buyer's Guide covers the decision in more detail. To see what your own suit would look like, design your custom race suit online, starting from $799.
